What use are Flowers?
A "bauprobe" at theater Frascati in Amsterdam

                    Bauprobe:
Moments from me and Senja's "Bauprobe" - A cooperation with scenography and a mock-up version build to try out at Frascati Theater.
We worked with the very metaphorically loaded text "What use are Flowers" by Lorraine Hansberry.
I mixed the text with lines from the tragic poem about "Yerma," and we dove into an exploration of the process and cycle of trying (and failing) to get pregnant. As both texts are loaded with by example flower metaphorics, it was quite interesting to see what happened.
The scenography was designed and made by Senja, and it had a lot of opportunities. It also held a great metaphoric layer with the see-though linen and box in the big nothing of a blackbox.
Music was made by me, and remixed by me (Er ananas i egen juice so last year at sige nu?).
Apart from the selfmade, I used the songs:
Tex Ritter- Blood on the sadle (something you don't wanna see in this situation, hu?) and Tami T- Princess.
And then, of course, we worked with the wonderful and skilled Clara Ottignon and Noah van der Burgt
