RADIOPLAY/ HOORSPEEL

"do we have anymore ideas for this shitty play?"

A midsummernight's dream, wuhuw.

Here I tried to make up with the feelings I have about the GREATEST ROMANTIC COMEDY in history.

A play that portrays drugrape and patriarchal powerstructures in a "cutesy" light: "Use me. Spurn me, but as your dog" she said on her knees begging to get existence by the gaze of a man.

In this radioplay we follow a director trying to make a "romantic comedy", but failing.. and ending up having a conversation about the "toxic marriage" the theaterworld is in with Shakespeare. The chokehold that in this radioplay is loosened by the director and actress taking back the narrative and killing the predators, instead of getting eaten by the wolves of the moonlight. In a "your words but my choice" kind of way.

"It's me Helena, you remember? WUF WUF that one"

A radioplay that sprung from both a conversation, a structure, a long improvisation( and a lot of laughter) that took us through the powerstructures of both the patriach and the female and the director and the actor. In this radioplay, there will be both Shakespeare, barking, verbal violence, crying, the word "daddy", and a new version of Shakespeare, that I hope will either make him applause or turn around in hell.

* DO YOU ONLY HAVE TIME TO LISTEN TO A SHORT MOMENT?  Jump to timestamp: 12:45 for the Shakespearean new ending. ;)

** THIS RADIOPLAY, that was a school project, is not "polished" sound wise. We made them next to the opera's and if it were to be fully done it would need another session in the studio.

I am always open to new work and collaborations. If you're interested, please reach out.
